How to Make Animated Stickers for WhatsApp

Downloading a sticker ZIP and installing a WhatsApp pack are separate steps. Start with your own photo, review the expressions, then use a compatible importer to put the files in your sticker panel. GifEmoji’s public generation and real platform delivery are still being tested.

1. Prepare the expressions

Use a clear portrait or pet photo you have permission to use. Choose one style for the pack. Review faces, paws, edges and motion at chat size before downloading; a file that exports successfully can still have visual problems.

2. Download the WhatsApp-ready files

When the pack is complete, choose its WhatsApp WebP export and save or unzip the download on your phone. Use the individual animated WebP files, not the GIF preview or MP4. Renaming a file extension does not convert it into the right format.

3. Import with a compatible sticker app

Choose an importer that explicitly supports animated WebP and your phone’s operating system. Create a pack and add at least three stickers. Follow the importer’s instructions for a pack name and tray icon, then use its Add to WhatsApp action. Importer features can differ by version.

4. Test in a real conversation

Open WhatsApp’s sticker panel and find the new pack. Send a sticker in a test chat and check that it animates and the edges look clean. If it arrives as a document or regular image, repeat the pack-import step rather than attaching the raw file.

If the import fails

Confirm that the importer supports animation, that the ZIP has been extracted and that you selected the WebP export. A rejected or flattened animation needs a compatible import path; repeated downloads alone will not install a pack.

From download to your chat

Telegram
Use the WebM video sticker export. Direct bot import is still being tested; follow the Telegram guide for the manual route.
WhatsApp
Download WhatsApp-ready WebP files, then use a compatible sticker importer. A website download does not install a whole pack. See the import steps.
iMessage & social video
Share GIFs in messages or an available silent MP4 on social platforms. Native iMessage sticker-pack installation is not available in this web version.

Questions before you start

Can the website install a whole WhatsApp pack in one click?

No. GifEmoji provides WhatsApp-ready files; a compatible importer is still needed. The website does not currently provide a native WhatsApp pack-install app.

Can I use the same files in Telegram?

Use the Telegram WebM export for video stickers instead. Each platform has its own file and import requirements.
