How to Add a Custom Sticker Pack to Telegram
Telegram supports custom sticker packs, including video stickers made from WebM files. Use the Telegram-specific export from a completed creation. GifEmoji’s direct Telegram import is still being tested. The manual route is explained below.
Open Telegram Sticker Maker from Photos
1. Review and export your pack
Start with a selfie, pet portrait or paired photos. Inspect every expression, then choose the Telegram WebM export when available. Save the actual files to a device where you can access Telegram; a GIF preview is not the video sticker export.
2. Open the official @Stickers tool
Open Telegram’s @Stickers mini app or bot and follow its current instructions for creating a video sticker pack. Choose a name you are comfortable sharing. Follow the requested file-upload steps and emoji associations rather than sending an ordinary compressed video message.
3. Publish and add the pack
Finish the pack setup in Telegram, open the resulting pack link and choose Add Stickers. Send a sticker in a test conversation. Check animation, transparency and how the expression reads at the size people will actually see.
4. Use the direct pack action when available
A completed GifEmoji pack can show a Telegram bot entry when the service is configured. Follow that entry to connect the pack, then add it inside Telegram. If the action is unavailable, use the manual WebM route; check the final confirmation inside Telegram before sharing the pack.
If Telegram rejects a file
Check that you selected the WebM export and a video-sticker workflow, not the TGS vector-animation workflow. File size, dimensions, codec and duration all matter. Keep the original export and inspect the error before trying a different file type.
From download to your chat
- Telegram
- Use the WebM video sticker export. Direct bot import is still being tested; follow the Telegram guide for the manual route.
- Download WhatsApp-ready WebP files, then use a compatible sticker importer. A website download does not install a whole pack. See the import steps.
- iMessage & social video
- Share GIFs in messages or an available silent MP4 on social platforms. Native iMessage sticker-pack installation is not available in this web version.
Questions before you start
Are Telegram animated stickers and video stickers the same format?
Telegram’s vector animations use TGS; video stickers use WebM. GifEmoji’s animated visual output is delivered through the video-sticker route.
Is a downloaded ZIP already a Telegram pack?
No. Extract the files, create or connect the pack in Telegram and add the resulting pack to your account.
